Exam Preparation Classes for Insurance & Securities

                                 STUDENT ALERT

Since the pre-license course was eliminated several years ago the failure rate on the exam has gone up markedly. Some of our successful students are reporting back that exam proctors have told them that as a general rule over 50% of all test takers are failing the exam. It is obvious that these student have not been adequately prepared to take their test. Since almost half of the states are no longer requiring that a course be taken prior to sitting for the exam, students must be careful to look closely when selecting study materials and class lecture programs. Generic study materials are sold everyday but may lack state specific material. Make certain you are getting appropriate, relevant, and sufficient training. Ask other students where they received their training and what results did they experience. Look closely at what study materials are being provided with course registrations.

Please call us to discuss your training needs.

A Message to Agency and Company Managers and Supervisors

The exam preparation that your candidate undertakes is critical to their success on the state exam.  Beginning at the point when the state required course was eliminated, we have noticed that supervisors and managers are unsure about what process to suggest to their candidates in preparing for the exam. Here are some suggestions.

Self Study Courses should not be attempted when the candidate is new to the work place (under 5 years of employment) or lacks collateral background or experience or speaks English as a second language.

When selecting a course make certain the lecture component is sufficiently detailed relevant to the exam content and that the study materials provided work along with class lecture to enhance and reinforce learning in specifics and perspective. More people fail than pass. We believe that this is unnecessary and can be avoided by simple looking at the course offerings a little bit closer prior to selecting one. Lawyers, CPAs and other professionals pass their exams at a higher percentage, so proper preparation is the key. The cycle of failure must be avoided to ensure that your good staffers are not lost by bad footwork in their initial steps of entering the business.
